1. Select a Style
    Function, as well as design should be considered.  Pets, children, high traffic areas and architectural highlights may help define what elements are necessary in your door choice.  Horizontal rails and pegged brackets help to provide additional support around the handle area.  A horizontal rail also offers split screen and glass panels offering more versatility, thus allowing you to keep glass in the bottom and screen in the top.

Customization:
   Cutouts:  Generally, cutout silhouettes can be interchanged between door styles… Please feel free to inquire.  Consider a custom designed cutout to complement your architecture or show your personal style.
    Rails & Brackets:  Rail heights can be adjusted to complement your interior door.  When requesting this modification, consider the overall balance of the door design.

*All design information is based on an “outside view” and measured from bottom of door, up.

2. Measure the Door Opening
    Measure the inside edge of the casing area where you will hang your new door.  Measure width by height in inches.  This is the “opening size”.  With this, we will construct your door slightly smaller to fit the opening properly… -or- you can measure the current storm/screen door that you are replacing IF it fits properly.  Be as accurate as possible with your measurements.  In some cases, it might be recommendable to hire a carpenter to check your casing and do any measuring needed.

3. Select Optional Components
    Quality glass storm panels and door hardware are all optional components that enhance the door performance.  Be sure to consider the same elements for optional components as for selecting the style/design of the door, such as pets, children, traffic and weather.

4. Crating & Shipping vs. Pick Up
      We can crate & pack your order to be shipped by common carrier or airfreight direct to you.  Crating costs are extra.  Freight is shipped "Freight-Prepaid" and included in your WSD order total. Maine State sales tax does not apply to orders shipped out-of-state. We reserve the right to choose the carrier of choice depending on your location, weight of the shipment, etc.
       If you would like to pick up your order at our shop, Maine State Sales Tax will apply.  Doors are not crated or wrapped for pick-ups.  We will be happy to assist you in loading your doors into your vehicle.  Please be advised, for better protection it is best to transport the glass and screen panels inside your vehicle.

5. Order
    Call us for a quote over the phone and/or fill out and mail the printable order form. You can pay by Visa/MC or mail a deposit check with your order.  A minimum deposit of 50% of the order total is requested at time of order.  Order confirmations are mailed upon receipt of deposit. All production lead times are approximate and dependent on season and will be noted on your order confirmation.
